Police make arrest in Noblesville nail salon armed robbery

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WTHR) — Police in Noblesville have arrested a man who is believed to have held up a nail salon at gunpoint Monday afternoon.

Indianapolis resident Chance A. Covington, 24, was arrested Monday night after investigators obtained search and arrest warrants.

Witnesses told police a man came into the Exotic Nails Spa on Tegler Drive, across from Hamilton Town Center, around 2 p.m., holding several employees and customers at gunpoint. Surveillance photos show the man dressed in a black hoodie and pants with a black mask covering much of his face.

The employees and patrons were reportedly each held up for money, and they all complied before the suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash. He had left the scene before officers arrived.

Investigators collected items and information at the residence that they believe are relevant to the investigation.

Covington was booked at the Hamilton County Jail on seven counts of both robbery and theft.
