Police investigating two separate north side homicides


INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Metro police are investigating two homicides within six blocks of each other on the north side.

The fist shooting happened in the 3400 block of East 34th street around 11:15 Friday morning.

Police located a man in his 40's suffering from a gun shot wound.

Medics transported the man to Eskenazi hospital where he later died.

The second shooting happened in the 3000 block of East 35th street.

Police responded to a report of a person shot just before 3 p.m.

Officers located a man in his 30's dead outside of a car.

Both shootings are active investigations and anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at (317) 262-TIPS.
