Police investigating homicide on near northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Homicide detectives are investigating after a person was found dead on the near northwest side Wednesday morning.

Police responded to a report of a deceased person around 11:15 a.m. It happened in the 3700 block of West 21st Street.

Detectives found a male who was unconscious. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

The Marion County Coroner's Office ruled the death a homicide Thursday, but manner and cause of death have yet to be determined.
