Police investigating after 2-year-old shot in wrist on city's east side

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — A 2-year-old was shot on Tuesday morning on the city's east side.

Just after 8:15 a.m. officers responded to reports of a child shot at 422 N. Bradley Ave.

It's unclear if the child was inside or outside the house when he was shot.

The child was shot in the wrist. Medics took the child to Riley Hospital in stable condition.

Police are investigating the situation and trying to determine how the child got shot. Police say they do not believe the child shot himself.

Police have not yet released any information about a possible suspect in the shooting.
