NEWTON COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) - Police say one suspect has been arrested on a warrant for animal cruelty and torturing or mutilating a vertebrate animal.

36-year-old Edgar Gardozo-Vasquez of Brook, IN was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Newton County Jail.

Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed a hold on Gardozo-Vasquez.

The sheriff's office says they are still looking for Santiago Ruvalcaba Contrerors and Miguel Angel Navarro Serrano.

It comes after the Animal Recovery Mission (ARM) released video that appears to show cows and calves being abused or neglected on the Indiana farm.

ARM claims the video shows managers knew about the abuse and did not act, but Eyewitness News has not been able to independently confirm those accusations.

In a statement released last week, the founder of the farm said he fired the employees seen abusing animals.

Fair Oaks Farms will also have cameras around the property where employees and animals interact and take other steps to prevent future abuse.
