Police arrest man after his motorcycle burns on I-65 in Jackson County


JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) - A man is under arrest in Jackson County after officers investigated his disabled motorcycle.

Indiana State Police said Jerry Ray Jones was riding on I-65 when he started to have some problems.

After he pulled over to try to work on the motorcycle, it caught fire.

Workers in the area told police Jones left after the bike caught fire. Troopers found him north of Seymour.

They tell us Jones was wanted on a warrant and that troopers found a gun, 120 grams of what they believe to be meth, possible xanax and $1,600 cash.
