Peru Schools bus crashes with kids aboard

PERU, Ind. (WTHR) — Several Indiana students walked away from a school bus crash unharmed Thursday morning.

Our partners at the Kokomo Tribune report seven kids were on a Peru Community Schools bus when a driver rear-ended the bus, which was stopped on the street.

Another bus was thankfully nearby to take the students. No students were injured, but the driver of the car, 38-year-old Terry Hendrix was taken to the hospital with head and neck pain.

He was wearing a seat belt and his airbag deployed during the crash.

The bus driver was also not injured.
