INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - A well-known Fountain Square restaurant is back open after a health department inspection found violations.

Peppy Grill, 1004 Virginia Ave., was inspected after the Marion County Health Department received a complaint that “foods weren’t being kept under proper refrigeration.”

A health department spokesperson said the complaint triggered an inspection and it was determined that refrigerators holding food products weren’t able to maintain a temperature of 41 degrees or less, as required by code.

The restaurant was ordered closed pending corrective action. The health department noted that the restaurant would be required to replace their refrigerators with “commercial grade” units, and that domestic grade refrigerators would not be approved.

Peppy Grill opened back up on Friday.
