People are burning their Nike shoes in protest of Kaepernick's "Just Do It" ad
INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Nike is celebrating 30 years of its "Just Do It" campaign and has signed Colin Kaepernick as the face of its celebration.
According to the Associated Press, Nike stocks slipped Tuesday morning after it gave a major endorsement deal to the former NFL quarterback, known for his protests of police brutality and racial injustice.
Some people posted videos of themselves burning Nike shoes.
First the @NFL forces me to choose between my favorite sport and my country. I chose country. Then @Nike forces me to choose between my favorite shoes and my country. Since when did the American Flag and the National Anthem become offensive? pic.twitter.com/4CVQdTHUH4
