DETROIT (WTHR) - The second race of the weekend got off to a rough start when the pace car crashed into the wall before the race even started.

The car, begin driven by a GM employee, crashed exiting the pit lane to start the warm-up laps starting Race 2 of the Chevrolet Dual. The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is priced at roughly $120,000.

The driver lost control of the car going over a big bump exiting Turn 2, spun into the inside wall and then slid back across the track. Pole sitter Alexander Rossi maneuvered his way around the crash, but the rest of the field had to come to a stop behind the pace car.

No injuries were reported.

The real question: Where's Victor Oladipo when you need him?
