One person killed in Wayne County crash

WAYNE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) - One person is dead and another in critical condition after a motorcycle crash in Wayne County.

Wayne County Sheriff Randy Retter says a 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling south on Dalton Road near Lamar Road when for an unknown reason it went off the west side of the roadway.

There were two people on the motorcycle at the time of the crash.

Police say Shelby Masters of Hagerstown died at the scene.

Medics transported Jeffrey Flora of New Castle to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis where he is listed in critical condition.

Police say both Masters and Flora were ejected from the motorcycle as it went airborne over a creek.

Neither passenger were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
