A Maryland athlete with cerebral palsy is inspiring the nation with an impressive weightlifting feat.

CARROLL COUNTY, Md. (WTHR) - A Maryland athlete with cerebral palsy is inspiring the nation with an impressive weightlifting feat.

Miles Taylor posted a video to his Instagram page Thursday showing him as he dead lifted 200 pounds at a gym outside Baltimore. Taylor only weighs 99 pounds himself!

The gym where Taylor works out, NEVERsate, comes to life with encouragement as he begins his lift, with athletes coming from other rooms to check out the action, then celebrate with Taylor when he achieves it.

Taylor's Instagram page is full of photos of his workouts and he set a personal best lift of 190 pounds just over a week ago.

"I have CP, CP doesn't have me!" Taylor's Instagram bio reads.

The video had been viewed nearly 200,000 times in the first day it was online, with more than 2,500 people leaving words of congratulations and encouragment for Taylor.

It even got the attention of Houston Texans star J.J. Watt, who retweeted a copy of the video.
