MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WTHR) — They both had no idea! A couple who went to the Memphis Zoo to get engaged, ended up in tears from laughing so hard!
WMCA Action News 5 reported that Jessa Gillespie posted a video of the moment where she and girlfriend, Becky McCabe, both brought rings to the zoo with the intention to pop the question to the other. But as Gillespie began to get down on one knee, McCabe pulled out another ring much to Gillespie's surprise!
The couple said they chose to propose at the zoo because that's where they went on their first date, but neither knew about the other plans.
The hilarious moment is gaining steam online. It's been seen more than 100,000 times on Facebook!
The pair hope to get married next summer.
