Social media looking older with FaceApp's aging feature

If you've been on social media the past few days, then you've probably seen people posting pictures of themselves looking a lot older than they are. It's all thanks to Face App, which lets you put different filters onto a photo to see what you'd look like.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — If you've been on social media the past few days, then you've probably seen people posting pictures of themselves looking a lot older than they are.

It's all thanks to FaceApp, which lets you put different filters onto a photo to see what you'd look like.

They can make you look young, or put a new hairstyle on.

But the popular one right now is the "aging" filter.

Every time one of these new picture challenges pops up, there's always cause for concern about the impact it might on have on your personal information.

The app's privacy police says it collects all the pictures you upload, but, users are complaining it could also collect other photos on your phone.

To stop this, all you have to do is decline the app access to your photos and only allow access to your camera.
