SQUAW VALLEY, California (WTHR) - A 78-year-old California man was arrested this week for his alleged role in a sophisticated marijuana grow operation.
Officers arrested Charles Cooper, the owner of a home which was searched by deputies with a warrant.
Police found cultivated marijuana plants with an estimated $2.3 million.
Besides the plants, investigators found a handgun, 10 pounds of processed marijuana, a large amount of cash and Carbofuran, a highly toxic and insecticide that is banned in the U.S..
Officers took the pot to be destroyed.
