Tomich, Scotland (WTHR) – Imagine it, a field of hundreds of Golden Retrievers running around care-free.
That was the sight last week in a small village in Scotland where more than 360 Golden Retrievers and their owners gathered to celebrate 150 years of the breed.
The event was organized by the Golden Retriever Club of Scotland and held at Lord Tweedmouth’s former estate.
Legend has it that Lord Tweedmouth bred the first Goldens by mixing the now-extinct Tweed Water Spaniel and Wavy-Coated Retriever.
One Twitter user posted this, describing it as “a dream”.
This was the largest gathering of Goldens ever for the anniversary.
