HOUSTON (WTHR) - A Texas woman has a full house after one trip to the delivery room.
The Woman's Hospital of Texas said Thelma Chiaka delivered sextuplets early Friday morning in Houston. Her twin girls and two sets of twin boys were born between 4:50 a.m. and 4:59 a.m.
The babies, whose birth weights ranged from 1 pound, 12 ounces to 2 pounds, 14 ounces, are said to be in stable condition. The mother is doing well.
The twin girls have been named Zina and Zuriel, but the hospital said the boys had not yet been named.
The hospital said the odds of giving birth to sextuplets is 1-in-4.7 billion.
