Daring rescue caught on camera after man falls onto train track

OAKLAND, Calif. (WTHR) - A daring rescue was caught on camera in California.

People were leaving the Oakland Raiders football game Sunday when a man fell onto the tracks as a train was pulling up.

A transportation supervisor saw it happen and was able to pull the man to safety just seconds before the train got there.

"My honest opinion, he wasn't gonna make it and I couldn't watch it happen," BART supervisor John John O'Connor told the Associated Press. "I'd like to think that anybody else in there would have done the same thing. God put me there for a reason, right? I guess. He got to go home. Hopefully he cures cancer or something. He seemed to be a young man, got a lot of life ahead of him. Hopefully it's a good one."

Witnesses and riders burst into applause after the rescue.
