FLORIDA KEYS, Fla. (WTHR) — The Coast Guard had to transport a woman by helicopter from a Carnival cruise ship that was more than 100 miles away from shore Friday.
A helicopter hoisted the 36-year-old pregnant woman from the Carnival Glory cruise ship after she went into labor. Key West was more than 100 miles away.
The helicopter took the woman to local emergency medical services, and then medics took her to the Lower Keys Medical Center. The woman arrived safely, but no word on her condition.
