SACRAMENTO, CA (KCRA) - It was all caught on camera: A contracted Amazon driver making deliveries in a Sacramento County neighborhood delivered a different kind of package in the gutter outside a house.
Amazon customer Nemy Bautista shared video with KCRA of the woman stepping outside the U-Haul van on the passenger side, making sure the coast was clear, and defecating in front of his house.
A driver made a most unexpected delivery.
It was all caught on camera. A contracted Amazon driver, in a marked U-Haul van, making a delivery that no one would ever want.
A package of human waste. The deposit happened on a suburban Sacramento street a quiet cul-de-sac.
The homeowner did not want to be interviewed on-camera, but did allow KCRA to share home surveillance video captured two days ago. Showing the delivery driver making a human deposit on the curb, right next to his driveway and then the female driver runs back into the van before eventually taking off.
KCRA has learned the driver was making a delivery for Amazon but work independently, as many drivers do in today's Gigeconomy.
Amazon has taken responsibility for what happened and in a statement to KCRA, says, "This does not reflect the high standards we have for delivery service providers. This individual is no longer delivering Amazon packages and we're in direct communication."
