Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg has released a billion-dollar plan to fight domestic terrorism.

It comes just days after 31 people were killed in mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton.

The mayor of South Bend released a letter on his website along with a detailed plan.

Buttigieg wants to invest $1 billion in fighting white nationalism by putting more resources toward law enforcement.

He also wants to increase the FBI's domestic counterterrorism field staff, expand the country's ability to track hate groups and work with social media and other websites to stop the spread of violent extremism.
