INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Mondelez International is recalling some of its RITZ Cheese Crackers due to mislabeling.

According to the company, the packaging of the crackers claims they're cheese-flavored. However, the actual product inside are peanut butter.

The box does not have a disclaimer that it "may contain peanuts," but the individual packages are labeled as Peanut Butter RITZ Crackers.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts may risk serious or life-threatening allergic reactions by eating this product.

The specific recalled items are: RITZ Cheese Cracker Sandwiches Family Size (21.6 carton) with retail UPC: 0 44000 03826 7. The product has a best buy date of: Sept 18, 2020, Sept. 20, 2020, Sept 28, 2020, Sept. 29, 2020, Oct. 1, 2020 and Oct. 2, 2020.
