HOPKINS, Mich. (WTHR) – A 15-year-old girl from Michigan, who was reported missing Friday, Aug. 2, has been located.
According to Allegan County Sheriff's Office, the teen was found in Rhode Island.
Investigators confirmed on Tuesday that Gracie Hewartson had left the state with an unknown male she met on social media, WOOD reported. She was located in the city of Warwick more than 850 miles from home.
The male suspect has not been apprehended. Hewartson is safe and in police custody.
The parents of a 15-year-old girl from Michigan are asking for the public's help to bring her home safely.
Gracie Hewartson was last seen around 3:30 p.m. Friday.
According to 11Alive, Gracie's parents believe she may have went with a man she met on Instagram.
Her parents, Darrin and Micki Hewartson, created a Facebook page to spread the word about their missing daughter.
She was last seen wearing a black hoodie and white jean shorts.
Her parents believe she is two hours away from the Hopkins area.
