Kings Island waiving admission fees for active, retired military on Memorial Day Weekend

Amusement park Kings Island is honoring military members for Memorial Day Weekend by giving them free admission.

MASON, Ohio (WTHR) — Amusement park Kings Island is honoring military members for Memorial Day Weekend by giving them free admission.

May 24-27, active military, retired military, National Guard, veterans with honorable or medical discharge and Reserve Officers' Training Corps can get into the amusement park for free. The park is also offering discounts for the families of military members. With a government-issued military ID, service men and women can purchase up to six tickets for $35 each. That's compared to the regular gate admission of $70.

Park visitors will get to check out new upgrades and attractions like the new fountain and fireworks show on International Street and water park Soak City, which opens for the season Memorial Day Weekend. Water park activities are included with the price of park admission.
