BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WTHR) — Food manufacturer Kellogg's has partnered with GLAAD to launch a new cereal coinciding with a $50,000 donation to support LGBTQ anti-bullying and advocacy efforts.
"All Together Cereal" is a limited-edition cereal box that features smaller boxes of six popular cereals inside: Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops, Rice Krispies, Raisin Bran, Frosted Mini-Wheats and Corn Flakes.
The larger, exclusive "All Together Cereal" box symbolizes the company's belief that "we all belong together," according to a release.
The box is available online for $19.99 for a limited time.
"The All Together cereal encompasses the values of diversity, equality, and solidarity that Spirit Day is all about," GLAAD marketing director John McCourt said. "We hope that LGBTQ youth everywhere receive the messages loud and clear."
Spirit Day is an annual LGBTQ awareness day, focused on fighting against bullying. It's on the third Thursday in October.
"At Kellogg, we are firmly committed to equity and inclusion in the workplace, marketplace and in the communities where we work and live," said Kellogg's executive Priscilla Koranteng. "We have long been allies and supporters of LGBTQ employees, their families and the community."
