FLORIDA (WTHR) — A man in Florida found a unique wedding band while he was searching the beach with a metal detector.
Now, he's on a mission to return the ring to its rightful owner, and he has some clues to help.
There's an inscription with the anniversary date of Christmas Day 1955 with the name, "Odulia."
He says it would bring him to tears if he could find the owner.
"So, the mystery continues," said Mark DesErmia. "We're hoping to find the owner. It's been shared thousands of times on Facebook. I'm hoping so desperately to find these people, what a unique wedding date to begin with. These people are probably in their mid to late 80s."
This isn't the first time he's found a wedding ring while scouring the beaches with a metal detector.
Over the last 25 years, he's found dozens -- some of which he still has.
