Metro police investigate east side shooting

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

INDIANAPOLIS — Metro police say one person is dead after an east side shooting.

It happened just before 8 p.m. Thursday in the 3500 block of North Graham Avenue, which is just northwest of 34th Street & Arlington Avenue.

Officers found an adult male in a vehicle parked in front of the address. 

Police said the victim had an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was later identified by the Marion County coroner as 24-year-old Michael Hicks.
