Woman found dead in northwest side alley identified

Metro homicide detectives are conducting a death investigation after a woman's body was found in a northwest side alley Sunday morning.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Metro homicide detectives are conducting a death investigation after a woman's body was found in a northwest side alley Sunday morning.

The Marion County Coroner's office has identified the woman as 54-year-old Darlene Glenn.

Just before 9:45 a.m. Sunday police were called to 769 West 26th Street, just west of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

Officers located a woman's body down in the alley area and medics pronounced her deceased at the scene.

Detectives were unable to identify any immediate signs of trauma on the body and are looking for witnesses who may shed light on what happened to her.

The Marion County Coroner will work to determine the exact cause of death.
