The stage collapse at Westfield High School is now prompting a new focus on safety statewide.
Wayne Township had maintenance crews and a structural engineer come in on Friday to double-check its school stage.
Plymouth High School in northern Indiana is also taking extra steps to protect its students. They inspected their stage before an upcoming variety show.
Investigators are still looking into what caused the stage to collapse in Westfield. Sixteen students were hurt when they fell into the orchestra pit during a production of "American Pie."
The investigation is expected to take at least two weeks.
