INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — The Metropolitan School District of Washington Township is responding to video of a teacher using a derogatory racial term.
"The term was used in conversation to reinforce the District’s commitment to proper discussions on social topics and not directed at any individual, the District does not condone use of this word," the district said in a statement.
The district said it has taken "appropriate action" with the teacher. Washington Township said it could not elaborate on what actions were taken with the teacher because it is a personnel matter.
