LEBANON, Ind. (WTHR) — A fitting tribute Thursday to a long-time sheriff’s deputy in Boone County.
Nearly 50 police cars lined Lebanon streets in a processional for Sam Scott who died earlier this week.
Scott had served the department for nearly 20 years.
He rose through the ranks from corrections officer to detective.
He had retired last year.
On Facebook, the sheriff’s office said the community lost a great man who fought ALS with courage and grace.
Scott was 49 years old.
