INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The Indiana Office of Tourism is destroying thousands of Indiana state maps.

The office says during post-production it was discovered Governor Holcomb's name was misspelled on the maps.

700,000 maps are being reprinted at a cost of $100,000. The Office of Tourism says the maps are being reprinted at the vendor's expense because it was their error.

Replacement maps will be shipped to rest areas, welcome centers and license branches by the end of January at which time they will be available to the general public.

Maps can also be downloaded by clicking here.
