SOUTHPORT, Ind. (WTHR) — Southport High School students will be released early on Friday, Nov. 2 to prepare for President Trump's visit.
Perry Township Schools announced it would release students from the high school at 12:30 p.m. The school corporation said that Secret Service officials need to conduct security procedures prior to the president arriving.
Buses will leave at 12:30 p.m. and all students who are being picked up must be out of the parking lot by 1 p.m.
According to a Facebook group and comment on the Perry Township Schools post, a protest against the Trump rally is also planned for that evening.
The president is expected to speak at 7 p.m.
