INDIANAPOLIS - About 200 people could use a bicycle and don't have one, according to organizers of the Shifting Gears program.
Now in its tenth year, Shifting Gears provides donated, refurbished bikes to people in need of transportation to work, school, food and medical care.
A partnership between Bicycle Garage Indy, the Indiana Department of Correction and Volunteers of America of Indiana, Shifting Gears takes donated bikes, fixes them, and donates them through charitable organizations to those in need.
This year, Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is partnering with Bicycle Garage Indy by hosting drop-off locations on the following dates:
Monday, October 10, 3-7 pm
Fresh Thyme Farmers Market
4225 E. 82nd St, Indianapolis
