Semi driver arrested for OWI after crash shuts down I-65

State Police say they arrested the driver of a semi trailer that crashed north of Seymour Monday morning, shutting down northbound lanes of Interstate 65.

SEYMOUR, Ind. (WTHR) — State Police say they arrested the driver of a semi trailer that crashed north of Seymour Monday morning, shutting down northbound lanes of Interstate 65.

The crash occurred about five miles north the Seymour exit at U.S. 50.


The driver was not injured.

Police are diverting traffic at U.S. 50 over to U.S. 31 to continue north toward Columbus.


Indiana State Police Sgt. Stephen Wheeles said around 9:30 a.m. they were still looking at a couple hours to open the area. By noon, INDOT was still showing the lanes as closed.
