Police: Woman calls 911 to report she killed her husband last week

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Department arrested a Crawfordsville woman on charges of murder and failure to report a dead body Monday.

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. (WTHR) - The Montgomery County Sheriff's Department arrested a Crawfordsville woman on charges of murder and failure to report a dead body Monday.

Police say 55-year-old Sheila L. Ridenour called 911 shortly after 3am Monday and told the operator she shot her husband on Friday.

Deputies arrived in the 5700 block of West 700 South and found Billy J. Ridenour, 62 years old, dead.

Sheila Ridenour was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

After being interviewed by detectives, Sheila Ridenour was charged with murder and failure to report a dead body.
