MUNCIE, Ind. (WTHR) - Police in Delaware County confirm they have removed a 'suspicious device' from a south Muncie home.

Muncie police were at the home in the 2200 block of S. Elm St. on an unrelated call when officers observed the device. They asked the sheriff's bomb squad to investigate.

Those officers used a remote-controlled device to secure the object. They have taken it to another location.

They have been joined by agents of ATF. They will further investigate the device tonight and perhaps on Tuesday as well.
