State police say a large amount of cash and drugs were seized during a raid at a Greenwood motel.
Police, including U.S. Marshals, executed a warrant at the Red Roof Inn at I-65 and Main Street Tuesday night.
Police say the raid started around 5 p.m. Tuesday. While executing a search warrant on Room 211 at the motel, detectives located more than 10 grams of cocaine, which was packaged for distribution. A field test confirmed the substance was cocaine.
One man in the room police raided was arrested. Dewayne L. Lewis, 40, of Greenwood, is facing a preliminary charge of dealing cocaine. He is being
Cocaine and a large sum of money were reportedly seized in the operation. Greenwood Police also assisted and handled the arrest of the suspect.
