The incident happened Saturday in the parking lot of the White House Suites around 9:30 p.m.

PLAINFIELD, Ind. — Plainfield police are investigating a shooting that involved at least four victims Saturday evening, two of whom were killed.

Police are searching for Dalonny Dion Rodgers as a suspect in the shooting. He is wanted on a series of preliminary charges including two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder.

A Plainfield Police Department spokesperson said officers were called to the White House Suites, located at 2688 E. Main St., on a report of several people shot.

Police told 13News that dispatchers got reports of gunfire around 9:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found "multiple" injured people in the parking lot. All of the victims were male.

According to police, one victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and a second victim died after he was taken to the hospital. On Sept. 12, the Hendricks County Coroner's Office identified the victims as 34-year-old Jose Rolando Castaneda Varela and 52-year-old Alfredo Garcia.

Two others, both identified as 27-year-old men by Plainfield police, were taken to local hospitals for gunshot wounds and are expected to survive. A third person was also allegedly shot at, but was not hit.

According to court documents, five men had been hanging outside the hotel, playing music and drinking. A witness and the surviving victims told investigators that while they were hanging out, Rodgers approached them, put his arms around them, patted them on the chest and laughed in their faces. According to court documents, the men said Rodgers walked away and then came back and did the same thing. As he left the second time, a witness said Rodgers shouted "F**k Latinos." When he returned a third time, the men said Rodgers opened fire on them. A witness told police they heard about 11 shots.

Anyone with information on Rodgers' whereabouts can call the Plainfield Police Department at 317-754-5200 or call Crime Stopper at 317-262-TIPS.
