INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — An Indianapolis charter school is looking to expand its success.
Paramount Schools of Excellence cut the ribbon today on its Paramount Community Heights campus at 16th and Ritter Streets.
The school is looking to build on the success of its first campus, which has been designated an "A" school by the Indiana Department of Education.
Along with a focus on academics, technology and the environment, the school hopes to become a neighborhood partner.
"We feel like this is a neighborhood in need of a great school option and we feel we are a good neighborhood partners and part of our mission is to make sure we're engaging the community so we felt this was a great opportunity to serve this neighborhood and develop some synergy with the neighborhood," Kyle Beauchamp, the principal at Paramount Community Heights said.
The school serves students from kindergarten through fourth grade, and they are still accepting applications for this school year.
