Overturned semi hauling honey closes South Split for hours Sunday morning

The I-70 east ramp to I-65 north at the South Split will be closed for at least three hours to clean up the honey and debris from the overturned semi.

INDIANAPOLIS — The I-70 east ramp to I-65 north at the South Split is closed due to an overturned semi hauling honey.

INDOT reported the crash after 8 a.m. Sunday morning.

Indiana State Police Sgt. John Perrine said the driver was not injured in the crash, and tow trucks are on the scene to remove the semi. 

Around 9:30 a.m., Perrine said the ramp is expected to be closed for at least three hours for clean up.
