INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Overnight winds left some Hoosiers without power Sunday morning.
At 8 a.m. Sunday, IPD was working to restore power to more than 5,000 customers across Marion County. By 11 a.m., power had been restored to approximately 40-percent of those customers.
AEP reported nearly 200 customers out of power in the Muncie area at 8 a.m. Their 5000 estimated outages throughout their coverage area at 8 a.m. was whittled by more than half three hours later. Several hundred customers were experiencing power loss in Madison, Delaware and Grant counties early Sunday.
Duke Energy reported more than 1,500 customers without power in central Indiana at 8 a.m. Sunday. That number was down to just 364 by 11 a.m. Heaviest hit areas included Hamilton County with nearly 250 customers out.
