NEW YORK (WTHR) - WTHR's 13 Investigates team was honored with a prestigious duPont-Columbia Award Wednesday night in a ceremony at Columbia University.
Indianapolis native Jane Pauley presented the award as she shared the stage with NBC News' Lester Holt.
Senior investigative reporter Bob Segall accepted the award after the team exposed troubling conditions and mismanagement at a Grant County homeless shelter.
The reporting led to significant changes in the Rescue Mission's physical conditions and in its leadership.

Our 13 Investigates team is in great company. HBO, ESPN and NBC's "Dateline" also won duPont awards this year.
The duPont is considered the broadcasting equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize.
