WESTFIELD, Ind. (WTHR) — There are new features being added to the Monon Trail to keep people safe.
On Tuesday, the City of Westfield will open a new kiosk that includes surveillance, emergency dispatch tools and weather updates.
It's the first tool like this in Hamilton County.
In Indianapolis, the city recently removed the emergency call boxes along the Monon Trail because many of them didn't work.
They've been replaced with locator signs and you can use those to give your exact location when calling from a cell phone.
