INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - New numbers out Monday show big economic gains last year in Indianapolis.

Indy Partnership reports 11,000 new jobs in 2016 and more than $1 billion in capital investment.

Nearly one of every three new jobs came from the IT field, and that's a growing trend here in Indiana. Some of the big tech wins in 2016 include the expansion of Salesforce, Clear Software in Zionsville and Braden Business Systems in Fishers.
