New Children's Museum exhibits focus on Greek history, modern Greece.

Managers say it's a great way for families to learn about another side of the world they may not get to see in person.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - It's a big weekend for the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. Two brand new exhibits opened at the museum on Saturday, one focusing on Greek history and the other about on modern Greece.

Crowds gathered to watch a kick off performance, which included Apollo, the Greek god of light and music. He taught a young girl to play the lyre.

"For those young kids to have their first experience here and then to be able to build upon that, it's incredibly exciting," said exhibits manager Monica Humphrey. "We're grateful to have this opportunity to bring these here and just have fun with it."

Plenty of people came out to have some fun while avoiding the rain. They also got to see interactive exhibits in those different areas.

Humphrey says this is a great way for families to learn about another side of the world they may not get to see in person.
