Muncie Police releasing 'hot cop' calendar Saturday

You've probably seen the "hot cops" of Gainesville, Florida on your social media feeds, but did you know a local police department already had a "hot cops" calendar in the works?

MUNCIE, Ind. (WTHR) - You've probably seen the "hot cops" of Gainesville, Florida on your social media feeds, but did you know a local police department already had a "hot cops" calendar in the works?

Three Florida officers took the internet by storm after they posted a selfie before helping with Hurricane Irma cleanup. Women went crazy over their good looks. Hundreds of thousands shared the post with comments like, "I know where I'm committing my next felony!" and other comments that don't meet WTHR.com's language standards. (In a follow-up post, the Department said some of the comments had even made their chief blush.)

Two of the men are already married, but the third is single and said he plans to use his newfound fame to audition for The Bachelor!

Other police departments followed suit trying to show off their "hot cops."

Here in Indiana, Muncie's Police Department was already in the process of putting together a calendar featuring its officers before the Florida photo went viral. Kishel Photography did the shoot and gave us a sneak peak.

The department releases the full calendar Saturday and some of the officers will be signing autographs. You can find them at the Muncie Mall Saturday from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

The calendar costs $20. Proceeds go to benefit local domestic violence victims.
