MUNCIE (WTHR) - The bleachers are expected to be closed this basketball season at the nearly 90-year-old Muncie Fieldhouse.
School officials are working on a proposal for repairs.
The superintendent of Muncie Schools says he hopes to have a renovation proposal ready to present to the school board by the end of October, but how they will pay for the repairs is still uncertain.
Inspections found settlement causing structural problems to the bleachers and some interior walls. Repairs could cost several million dollars.
