'Megan's Ride' allows a father to carry on his daughter's legacy

'Megan's Ride' allows a father to carry on his daughter's legacy

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Tom Stancliffe loves to ride his bike. Each week he manages to pound out about 100 miles.

It's not just a workout or escape from his work, it also reminds him of his daughter.

Megan passed away two years ago after a life battling cerebral palsy.

The two had been inseparable and loved chasing life's adventures together.

"My daughter was pretty adventurous," Stancliffe said. "She's smiling from heaven right now."

As Stancliffe grieved, he looked for a way to carry on his daughter's legacy. It made sense then that the peace he and his family found while riding their bikes should be how they remembered her.

'Megan's Ride' will take place on July 27 and benefit the Outside The Box organization.
