INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Know a student looking for a summer job?
The City of Indianapolis has joined with EmployIndy to encourage local employers to look to teens and young adults to fill summer positions. For businesses, hiring youth helps fill open positions and prepares them for future jobs and careers.
Monday is the kickoff of Mayor Joe Hogsett's Employ Hire Indy Youth Week.
There are two job fairs this week to help connect local businesses with young people looking for jobs:
- Indy Parks hiring event: George Washington Community School Pool, 2215 W. Washington St., 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- JA Inspire IPS job fair: Arsenal Tech High School gymnasium, 1500 E. Michigan St., 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Hogsett will greet students and employers at the IPS job fair.
